"Decent school, but be ready for the cost"
Overall, I’d say it’s a good school and the experience has been decent. That said, just a heads-up for anyone considering it: the tuition can feel really high at times. Definitely make sure you look closely at the costs before committing

"Kind of mixed on the inclusiveness"
TAMU definitely has some solid diversity groups and events, and you can tell there’s effort being made. But it also kind of depends on your major or who you end up around. It’s not bad overall, just something about it can feel a little uneven, and I think it could be more welcoming in certain spaces.
"Solid programs, professors who actually care"
TAMU’s programs felt really strong to me, especially in that steady, structured way where you can tell people put thought into the courses. Most of my classes were serious without feeling like they were designed to crush you, and I appreciated little things like professors posting slides on time or explaining why a certain formula or case study actually mattered.
The engineering and business classes I took had a good mix of group work, projects, and regular assignments. Some group projects were a little messy, of course, but the better classes had clear rubrics, decent deadlines, and professors who actually answered questions instead of just saying “check the syllabus.” Not every class was amazing, but the overall quality was definitely there.
Advising could be slow sometimes, especially when you just needed one small answer and ended up waiting longer than expected. Still, academically, I felt like TAMU was worth it. I left a lot of classes feeling like I had picked up things I could actually use after graduation, not just random facts to memorize for an exam.

"I used Tamu.edu to figure out some..."
I used Tamu.edu to figure out some financial aid stuff, and it was helpful!!! Most of the info I needed was on the site, and the financial aid office did get back to me with an answer after a little while!!! My only complaint is that some of the forms and deadline details felt kind of hidden, so I ended up clicking around more than I expected!!! Overall, it was a good resource and helped me out, just not totally perfect!!!

"Admin replies can be a bit slow"
The school site is decent overall, but getting answers from admin can take a while lol. They do get back to you eventually, just not always as quickly as you’d hope when you need something.
"Online classes were kind of a mess"
I tried the online classes they were frustrating. The videos lagged quite a bit, and it felt like feedback took maybe days longer than it should have. Overall, I didn’t really feel like it was worth the money...

"Parking’s a bit much, but it works"
I mean, it was easy to find a spot when I went, so that part was fine. The parking did feel a little pricey though... not sure if that’s normal for the area or just when I was there, but it was manageable.
"Alumni network didn’t really come through for me"
I’ll admit I was mostly paying attention to the alumni network because that mattered a lot to me. The rest of the experience may have been fine, but when I tried reaching out, it was hard to get replies that were actually useful. A few people responded, but not much came out of it, so that part felt weak

"Pretty disappointed with how run down things feel"
I’ve been disappointed with the condition of the facilities lately. The bathrooms don’t seem to be kept up well, and some of the classrooms feel like they really need repairs or at least better maintenance. It’s frustrating because these are basic things that make a big difference day to day.

"Pretty solid help with my internship search"
I was feeling a little stuck trying to find internships that actually seemed worth applying to, so I gave this a try. It ended up being helpful. They pointed me toward some decent opportunities and made the whole search feel a lot less overwhelming. Nothing too flashy, but it definitely helped me get moving in the right direction

"Felt uneasy walking around at night"
I didn’t feel that safe walking around the tamu.edu campus area at night. A few spots were really dark and felt empty, and I didn’t notice much security or help nearby if something happened. Maybe other people had a totally different experience, but for me it was stressful. Also, I got the feeling there might be extra costs or fees for certain services that aren’t super clear upfront, which made me a little more wary overall

"Admissions process was really frustrating"
I had a rough experience with the admissions process through tamu.edu. It felt like I was constantly waiting on email replies, and when someone finally did get back to me, the responses seemed really generic and didn’t actually answer what I was asking. The portal was confusing too, and I kept hearing different things depending on who I talked to, which just made everything more stressful. I get that admissions offices are busy, but as an applicant, it really felt like no one cared that I was confused or anxious. By the end of it, I just felt drained and really disappointed

"Better than I thought, honestly"
I stayed in campus housing at Texas A&M AgriLife, i wasn’t really sure what to expect going in. But my room was clean when I moved in, and when I had a small maintenance issue, they fixed it quickly, which was a nice surprise.
It’s definitely not fancy or anything, but it felt safe, was easy to get around, and being close to classes helped a lot. For a college dorm, I’d say it was actually solid.

"Professors seem to really know their stuff"
I’ve spent a decent amount of time on Texas A&M AgriLife looking through programs and faculty pages, and umm, one thing that stood out to me is how experienced the professors at Texas A&M seem to be. A lot of them have solid research backgrounds, industry experience, and academic work that feels way more detailed than just a basic bio.
What I liked most was being able to actually see what each faculty member focuses on, which made me feel more confident about the quality of teaching there. The site could definitely be a little cleaner in some areas, but overall the faculty expertise was really impressive.

"Research opportunities felt harder to access than expected"
I thought there would be more accessible research opportunities at Texas A&M AgriLife, especially with how much the school seems to highlight research. But my experience felt closed off. I emailed a bunch of labs and most never responded, and the few that did got back to me basically wanted prior experience already. It was frustrating, because it kind of felt like the opportunities were there, just not really for someone like me unless you already knew the right people. For me, it mostly ended up being a lot of dead ends.

"Advising helped, even if getting everything together was a hassle"
I had a good experience with academic advising at tamu.edu. My advisor got back to me quickly and helped me sort out my classes without making the whole thing more confusing. I will say, getting all my questions and schedule stuff together beforehand felt like more work than it should have, but once I was actually talking to them, it was really helpful. I left feeling a lot less stressed about next semester.

"I was hoping the mental health..."
I was hoping the mental health support would be a bit quicker, so the wait times were a little disappointing. That said, once I did get help, it was useful and I felt like they were trying. Overall, it was okay, helpful, just not as responsive as I expected.

"Student life felt kind of dull and confusing"
Student life just felt dull to me. It was really crowded most of the time, and I had a hard time finding people I actually clicked with. What made it more confusing was that the emails would say one thing, but then things on campus seemed different, so I never really knew what to expect

"Campus food is fine, but I get tired of the hassle"
The food on campus is alright most of the time, but it depends way too much on where you go. Some dining halls actually have decent stuff, and then others feel like they’re serving the same things over and over. The lunch lines drive me crazy too, especially when I’m just trying to grab something quick and get on with my day. Prices feel a little high for what you’re getting, so overall it’s not awful, but I definitely wish it was more consistent.
"I ended up finding an internship through the..."
I ended up finding an internship through the tamu.edu career resources, which was helpful for getting started. It did take some searching though, and I wasn’t always sure how good or up-to-date some of the listings were. Still, I found something solid in the end.
